Edward John Zavada, 68,
of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Edward's home, 3735 Windmere Way, Marion.
Edward was born June 7, 1950, in Chicago, the son of Michael and Sophie (Oprondek) Zavada. He served in the U.S. Army, being stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Edward was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Zavada; son, Edward James Zavada; daughter, Staci Fierro; grandson, Alexander Fierro; granddaughter, Arianna Fierro; sister, Kathleen Zavada; and brothers, Michael Zavada and Robert Zavada.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Sophie Zavada.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Edward's memory.
