Carla Mae Geistkemper, 71, of Earlville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at home in Earlville.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave. SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday at
Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Earlville, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.
Carla was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Dyersville, the daughter of Edmund and Modesta "Dessie" (Kerkhoff) Overmann. She married John Geistkemper on May 14, 1966, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John; two daughters, Karen (Greg) Billick of Cedar Rapids and Michelle (John) Pasker of Earlville; five grandsons, Andrew and Caleb Billick and Joshua, Jacob and Noah Pasker; three brothers, Gary (Carlyne) Overmann of Petersburg, Loras Overmann of Shellsburg, Iowa, and Steven Overmann of Dyersville; in-laws, David (Judy) Geistkemper of Dyersville, Carol Grawe of Dubuque, Marilyn (Lyle) Andersen of Springville, Betty (Steve) Gassmann of Indianola, Jean (Jim) Woolf of Monticello, Joe (Barb) Geistkemper of Earlville and Tom (Nadina) Geistkemper of Blairstown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant children, Christine and Timothy; her parents; parents-in-law, Herman and Annetta Geistkemper; and a brother-in-law, Donald Grawe.
