Keep politics out of Linn County Fair

Several weeks ago I attended the Linn County Fair in Central City. I noticed in the advertising leading up to the fair and as I pulled in, the Louis Zumbach for Iowa House campaign provided the free parking. It caught my eye because I don't recall that parking costing anything before. It always has been free.
Upon further examination of the Linn County Fair website, I see that not only is Louis Zumbach's campaign a red ribbon partner, the campaign of family member Dan Zumbach is a white ribbon partner. Every other partner is a business, not a political candidate. I also noticed that Louie's wife Deb happens to be the treasurer and rental manager for the fairgrounds.
According to the fair book, the objectives of the fair are to showcase the accomplishments of 4-Hers, not just a show for the Zumbach's to push their GOP politics. I ask all members of the Linn County Extension Council and board members of the Linn County Fair to discontinue this practice. Politics is not the purpose of this summertime event.
