Carolyn Lee Reilly, 65, of 1124 16th Ave. SW, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from complications of liver transplant surgery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Teahen Funeral Home. Inurnment: Czech National Cemetery.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Steven; her son, Brandon La Barge; her brother, Terry Medulan (Patricia Holderness) of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Travis La Barge; a daughter, Rochelle La Barge; her parents; and a brother, Ken Medulan.
Carolyn was born Jan. 14, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Velma Drake Medulan, and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. She married Steven Reilly on June 1, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev. Carolyn retired in 2006 as a test repair technician from Rockwell Collins after 34 years.
Carolyn loved her family and was an avid poster on Facebook. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time camping, boating and fishing. She will be remembered for her favorite saying, "Always remember to live, laugh and love".
