Florence M. Albee (Boyd), a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Northbrook Manor. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Florence was born April 5, 1920, in Wharton, N.J. During World War II, she was employed by the Picatinny Arsenal, and after the war, moved to Iowa with her husband, Max.
She was a homemaker and active in her church. She volunteered at the Holloway House. Her husband, Max, was employed at Rockwell Collins as a technical writer for over 25 years until he retired in 1988.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father, her brother, Tom of New Jersey, and her husband, Max.
Surviving Florence are her three sons, Paul of Syracuse, N.Y., David of Marion and Michael of Cedar Rapids. Also, David's wife, Linda, and their three children, Angela, Melissa and Jason; and her great- grandchildren, Allison, Myles, Boston, Tim and Kendall.
