Lois Lorraine Oliphant, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by Pastor Bonnie Koeppen of St. Mark United Methodist Church. A visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Marguerite) Oliphant of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Colleen) Oliphant of Tulsa, Okla., and Dale (Lisa) Oliphant of Pearland, Texas; her granddaughter, Carrie (Michael) Enos of Cedar Rapids; and her great-grandchildren, Maria, Morgan, Christian and Mya Enos, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vance C. Oliphant; and her twin sister, LaRee Waugh.
Lois was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Wilson) Phelps. She married Vance C. Oliphant on Nov. 14, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Lois was a sales clerk for Younkers Department Store. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, art and telling great jokes.
A memorial fund has been established by the family for St. Luke's Hospice.
