64 Things to Love About March Madness

March is here everyone! Fat Tuesday, St. Patrick's Day and March Madness! Get ready for a great tournament! Here is my list of the things to look out for and remember from years past. Yes, I understand there are 68 teams now but I like keeping it old school. 64 Things to Love About the NCAA Tournament:

1. Gus Johnson: The best announcer. Period.

2. The ability of mothers, sisters and daughters everywhere to win a sports pool on blind luck

3. Michigan State will somehow make it to the Sweet 16, again

4. Doing your bracket and realizing you have all #1 seeds in the Final Four, and starting all over

5. Jimmer Fredette: He can take BYU to the promised land.

6. March Madness is now slowly sliding into April too!

7. Rick Pitino's Suits

8. In the first round a team you know NOTHING about you will root for 2 hours like it is the National Championship

9. The Morris Twins: Rock Chalk Double Jayhawk

10. Picking a team to win by colors or mascots can sometimes work (See No.2)

11. Play In Games

12. Work productivity decreasing

13. Continous basketball for days on end

14. Some random white kid taking over when he shouldn't (see: Gerry McNamara)

15. A #12 seed beats a #5 seed EVERY year

16. Billy Donovan's Hair

17. Praying to every God imaginable that your 14 seed beats your 3

18. Selection Sunday

19. #1 seeds being taken down (thank you UNI)

20. There will be a buzzer beater that they replay 47 times in an hour

21. Money

22. Seems like for the past decade there has been a Hansborough somewhere

23. Making it in is still slightly more exclusive then going to a bowl game!

24. Kemba Walker

25. The fact that college basketball gets it right, they let the teams play!

26. St. John's (Steve Lavin's Hair)

27. Basically the Big East tournament Part 2

28. Gonzaga

29. Filling out 14 brackets and needing to pick 1

30. Rick Majerus will make an appearance somehow

31. Tradition

32. Duke will make a run, it's Duke

33. The fact that many will pick a team who wins a conference tourney to go far and that team loses in Round 1

34. Everyone thinks they are a college basketball expert

35. 1 player taking over for a team

36. Gatorade commercials

37. Large slippery decals on the court

38. Car commercials

39. Alcohol commercials, makes sense right?

40. Cinderella Stories all the way from George Mason(or Augusta)

41. Lunatic, exhuberant coaches when they win

42. Cheerleaders getting technicals...(I hope this happens again)

43. K State makes a run but,

44. Frank Martin's eyes will bulge out of his head

45. Texas will blow a lead

46. Ohio State will not make the Final Four

47. Only 2 Big East teams will make the Elite 8

48. A mascot will punch someone in the face, again

49. Iowa fans will watch, wondering as always, Where's Guy Rucker when you need him?

50. Wisconsin will lose early due to the fact that they are not playing at home for once.

51. That #15 seed looks really tough this year

52. Guard play always dominates the tournament

53. Nolan Smith is participating in his 15th tournament this year.
