No good reason for impeachment inquiry

Ever since President Donald Trump was elected by the people in 2016, Democrats' sole mission appears to be to remove him from office.
And yet, unemployment is at a near record-low; Trump has improved trade with China; the stock market nears a record high; and a terrorist leader in the Middle East is eliminated.
Now, House Democrats used a rigged process with secret meetings and refused to let Republicans call witnesses, then voted to have an impeachment inquiry. Why?
