Goldsworth, Orval Robert
Orval Robert Goldsworth, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday March 28, 2011. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may visit today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Born March 6, 1921, in northeast Toledo, Iowa, on a farm, the son of Robert and Mary Goldsworth. He married Wanda Deeds on Sept. 20, 1941. She passed away on April 18, 1983. He then married Marian Lang on May 6, 1984. She passed away on Jan. 28, 2006. Orval served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Goldsworth of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Orva (Terry) Luke of Cedar Rapids, and Linda (John) Howell of Hazleton; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Orval loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to fish and camp. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lanny.
