Kenneth E. Mooney, 70, of Springville, died Monday, May 13, 2014, in his home. Funeral services:
noon Monday, May 19, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, by the Rev. David Mears. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 17, 1943, in Dexter, Iowa, the son of Gordon and Bera Fay Mooney, he married Barbara Debner on May 19, 1979, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Kenneth liked to hunt, fish and use black powder guns.
The family would like to thank Unity Point Hospice for its care and support.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons, Jason (Kristina) Mooney of Springville and Jeff, Craig and Dan Werling, all of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Rob Debner of Clarence; sister-in-law, Joann DeMoss of Hiawatha; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brett; and brother-in-law, Jim Debner.
