Kent, Mikel 'Hoss'
Mikel “Hoss” Kent, 60, of Alburnett, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; many family members; friends; and his dog, Harley.
Mike was born Dec. 2, 1950, the son of Melvin Kent and Bueta Bentley in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mike was currently employed by Morris Inc. He loved to sing and fish, Ford trucks and he loved anything to do in the outdoors, especially “cuttin' wood;” and Mike loved helping family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mike's memory.
