Morris, Greg
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Walter and Margaret Nieland and Lee and Alma Morris; and his beloved dog, Mercury.
Greg was born Oct. 3, 1951, to Waldo and Charlotte (Nieland) Morris, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was employed at Morris & Co. Inc.
Greg loved sports and was an outstanding athlete at Marion High School, Normandale Community College in Minneapolis and St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. Besides his love for sports, he loved to boat, fish, and enjoyed spending time on his land which he called his “secret oasis.”
Greg was a very compassionate and caring person and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Greg's memory. Memorials will be given to the Marion High School football program.
