Iowa Speedway offering free tickets to flood victims

Iowa Speedway, in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, is offering complimentary tickets to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race this Saturday to residents or members of the business community who were directly impacted or assisted with recovery during the 2008 floods.

“I was in the Cedar Rapids area on Friday (Aug. 28) and was humbled by the current state of this community; the need is great and there is still much to do,” Iowa Speedway president and CFO Jerry Jauron said in a news release. “On behalf of Iowa Speedway, I would like to offer whatever relief I can to Eastern Iowans as they continue to rebuild from the devastating floods of 2008.”

Starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, tickets can be picked up at the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, 424 First Avenue SE.
