Petrie, Harvey
Harvey Petrie, 71, passed away peacefully at his Des Moine home Monday, June 5, 2011.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; children, Sheri (Doug) Moylan, Ronald Petrie and Deana Lee; grandsons, Kyle Moylan (Aubrey) and Kevin (Jill) Moylan; and many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him, especially Little Eli.
He also will be missed very much by his little fury daughters, Abby and Bindi.
Harvey retired from Terex Corporation in Cedar Rapids. He lived to fish and hunt with his brother, Bill, and brother-in-law, John Clark. He loved smoking BBQ, relaxing and making jerky for the kids.
A special thanks to sister-in-law, Debbie who was with us all the way, Dr. Caletier and Dr. Lair for two more years to fish and hunt.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
