Larry D. Blauer died peacefully on April 24, 2015, at his home in Cedar Rapids at the age of 73 years. He will be cremated at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be at a later date.
Larry was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Tingley, Iowa, son of Darold and Rosemary (Baker) Blauer. He married Sharilyn "Sherry" Litchy on June 11, 1960. He was employed at General Mills until he retired in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darold and Rosemary (Baker) Blauer; his brother, John Blauer; and his son-in-law, Adam Steinert.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Blauer; his five children, Cindy (Darrell) Benesh, Brenda Steinert, David Blauer, Scott (Dana) Blauer and Annette (Roger) Lacoursiere; and his 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
