Dorothy Stadtmueller, 86, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Pinicon Place Care Center, Anamosa, following an extended illness. A visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, with private
family services on Tuesday. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Monticello.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinicon Place or Above and Beyond Hospice.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James; four children, Al (Kalinda) and John (Janelle), both of Monticello, Jane (Chuck) Lawrence of Tulsa, Okla., and Ann (Paul) Mills of Madrid, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kal, Kate and Kurt; two sisters, Leona Osterkamp and Marietta Gartland; and three sisters-in-law, Clorean Kray, Ruth Kray and Gloria Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin, in 1970; five brothers; and two sisters.
Dorothy Darlene Kray was born May 14, 1929, at the John McDonald Hospital in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Emma Weers Kray. Dorothy attended Anamosa schools and later worked at the Reliance Shirt Factory.
Dorothy married James Stadtmueller on Jan. 18, 1953, in Anamosa, Iowa. The couple farmed near Monticello and Dorothy worked at the Collins Radio plant in Anamosa.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Dorothy was a great wife, mother and grandmother.
