Dorothy Arlene Leonard, 94, died Sunday, Nov. 20,
2016, at St. Luke's Hospital
in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. The Rev. Mike Townsley will officiate at the service. Visitation will be at 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial will be in the Fairfax Cemetery.
Dorothy is survived by her two children, Darrell (Lynde) Leonard of California and Diana (Bill Johnson) Leonard of Wisconsin; a grandson, Lonzo Price of California; and niece and nephew, Kay (Steve) Dumnermouth of Cedar Rapids and Mike (Lynda) Burgess of Fairfax.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; siblings, David, Donald and Lois Burgess; and her parents.
Dorothy was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Fairfax, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ray and Olive McNee Burgess. On Jan. 31, 1945, Dorothy and Clifford Leonard were united in marriage in Fairfax.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
