Dorothy L. Schoonover, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Family will greet friends an hour before the service.
Dorothy was born Oct. 22, 1924, the daughter of F. William and Edna (Zachary) Maurer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal; her brother, Don Maurer; and a granddaughter, Sara Vincent.
Left to cherish Dorothy's memories are her daughter, Judy Vincent; a brother-in-law, Larry Schoonover; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Maurer.
A memorial fund has been established.
