Innis, Joseph Paul
Joseph Paul Innis, 82, of Plano, Texas, died peacefully at his home on Jan. 20, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 20, 1930, to Oliver Paul and Edith Spencer Innis in the little farming community of Humrich, Ill. He was married for 61 years to Barbara Naylor.
Joe worked for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for over 30 years and was most proud of working on the programs to put man on the moon. He was very proud of raising his family and seeing them succeed in life. He had great memories of serving as an assistant scoutmaster and longtime counselor/adviser with the Boy Scouts and significantly contributed to the lives and careers of many former scouts.
Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara; three children, David (Paula), Paul (Rhonda) and Mandy Tschoepe (Ernie); and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Terrell; and cousin, Patricia Ostrow.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Spencer Tschoepe.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral, Plano, Texas.
