Ruppert, William 'Bill' L.
William “Bill” L. Ruppert, 53, of Iowa City, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden heart ailment.
Bill's family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, the Bill Ruppert Memorial Fund has been established.

Bill was born August 10, 1956, in Iowa City. He was a graduate of the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wis., and had attended the University of Iowa.
Bill was a day trader and co-owner of the Pizza Pit. For a number of years he managed the Kum and Go convenience stores in Coralville and on Riverside Drive. He volunteered for many community events, including the Concrete Classic, was an avid supporter of Hawkeye sports and loved to read.
Bill was a caring son who exhibited great compassion in helping others.
Bill is survived by his parents, Charlotte Terrell and George Ruppert, both of Iowa City; three brothers, Garry Ruppert of Coralville, Terry (Karen) Ruppert of Gilbert, Ariz., and Mark “Barney” (Rachel) Terrell of Campbell, Calif.; his nephew, Joey Ruppert of Gilbert, Ariz.; and numerous friends.
