Nebergall, Richard L.
Richard L. Nebergall, 82, of Olin, died Sunday morning, Nov. 28, 2010, at the Clarence Nursing Home, Clarence. A celebration of his life service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Lahey Funeral Home, Olin, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Olin Cemetery.
Richard was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Cedar County, Iowa, son of Loyd Anthony Nebergall and Frances Mae (Reedy) Nebergall. He graduated from Tipton High School. He married Marilyn Hoffner on May 18, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He farmed all of his life in Tipton and Olin areas.
He was a member of the Olin Community United Methodist Church, where he was active within the church and served on the church board. He had also served on the Clarence Co-op board of directors, and in earlier years, was a member of the Odd Fellows in Tipton.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Nebergall of Clarence Nursing Home; his children, Terry (Duane) Lasack of Lowden,
Warren (Cindy) Nebergall of Olin, Pat (John) Sandberg of Mechanicsville, and Nancy (and friend, Mark Bone) Diossy of Anamosa; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and one sister, Neoma (Myrl) Edler of Clarence.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred.
