Kernels MLB Alumni Report 4/17/11

Tyler Chatwood (2009) picked up his first big league win pitching seven strong innings to lead the Angels to a 7-2 win over the White Sox. Chatwood struck out two while limiting the White Sox to one run on five hits and a pair of walks. Rich Thompson (2003) finished the game with an inning of relief in the win.

Hank Conger (2007) and Howard Kendrick (2004) each homered for the Angels. Conger finished the game 2-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored. Kendrick was 2-5 with three RBI in the win. Alberto Callaspo (2003) went 1-3 with a walk and a rum scored, Brandon Wood was 1-4 with a run scored, Mark Trumbo (2006-07) went 0-3 with a walk and run scored and Peter Bourjos (2007) was 0-1 in the win.

Casey Kotchman (2002) went 1-2 with a run scored and a pair of walks in the Rays 4-3 win over the Twins.

Alexi Casilla (2004-05) was 2-4 and scored a pair of runs in the Twins 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Joe Saunders (2002) took the loss as he struck out two in 6 2/3 innings of work while allowing five runs as the Diamondbacks fell 5-3 to the Giants.

Sean O'Sullivan (2007) struck out four in five shutout innings to earn his first win of the season in the Royals 7-0 victory over the Mariners.
