PATRICK THOMAS COUSER
Cedar Rapids
Patrick Thomas Couser, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center. There will be no services at this time. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Rebecca; son, Gregory Couser (Marianne); and grandchildren, Chad, Ethan and Madison of Rochester, Minn., and granddaughter, Rachel Couser of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Charles and Michael of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Sue Enyart of Cedar Rapids and Jane Hale of Rochester, Minn.; and many treasured nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Couser; his brother, John Couser; and his son, Paul Couser.
Pat was born Feb. 24, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. He attended St. Patrick's and LaSalle High Schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1966 until honorably discharged in 1972. He and Becky married in 1968. Most of his career was spent as a production coordinator at Cedarapids Inc., where he was active in the annual United Way campaign. He was a member of the company's credit union board.
Pat was a man who took care of his family above all else, often with a quiet sense of humor. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. We will all miss him so much.
Special thanks to the ICU nurses at Mercy Hospital.
