Lodge, Harold D.
Harold D. Lodge, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. A private family graveside service will take place.
Harold was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Cedar County, Iowa, the son of John Max and Mary (Arnold) Lodge, and grew up on the family farm. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Harold farmed for many years. Harold was a graduate of West Branch High School in 1944. On Sept. 16, 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Jacobsen in West Branch.
He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 56 years; daughters, Janine (Mark) Sears of Tijeras, N.M., Lori (Steve) Hefflefinger of Corning, Iowa, and Diane (Jim) Paige of Adel, Iowa; and six grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Mitchell, Jason Hefflefinger, Benjamin Sears, Austin Paige, Jacob Paige and Erica Paige.
