He then worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken, retiring after 16 years. After retiring, he worked part-time at the Center Point Road Ace Hardware into his early 80s. He then worked at the starter shack at Squaw Creek/Gardener Golf Course into his late 80s.
Ted loved the game of golf. He won the Cedar Rapids Senior Tournament seven years. He last played golf this fall, played 18 holes and shot a 78. Ted was proud that he was still able to shoot under his age.
