Allen, Jason Burdette

Jason Burdette Allen, 30, of Solon, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Jason was born Nov. 10, 1982, in Iowa City, the son of Jeffrey and Sally (Brower) Allen. He enjoyed drawing, taking pictures, camping, hiking, billiards, cards, computer games and cars.

Jason is survived by his parents; his sister, Cherie M. Allen, all of Solon; his aunts, Becky (Lee) Noethe of Dyersville and Beth (John McGinnis) Faler of North Liberty; his uncles, Mark (Marilyn Triggs) Brower of Marion, Brian Browe and James (Tammy) Vaverka Jr. both of Cedar Rapids; his paternal stepgrandmother, Darlene Allen of Dyersville; as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, H. Paul and Naomi G. Brower; paternal grandmother, Helen L. (James) Vaverka Sr.; and his paternal grandfather, Cecil B Allen.

A memorial fund has been established.
