Allen R. Chapman, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Aug. 16, 2014, at Grandview Nursing Care Center in Oelwein following an extended illness due to injuries from a bicycle accident in 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Chapman; two sons, Chris and Stuart; granddaughters, Shannon and Carly; great-grandson, Logan; his beloved, Carrie; faithful friend, Gina; and two beautiful golden retrievers.
Allen R. Chapman was born March 19, 1936, the son of Frank and Maurine (Allen) Chapman. Allen owned and operated Allen Motor Co. most of his life. The dealership was in the Allen family over 100 years.
Memorials may be designated to St. Luke's Foundation in care of the Therapy Unit.
