Ohman, Stephen William 'Steve'
Stephen William “Steve” Ohman, 62, of Mount Vernon, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Steve's private family viewing will be Wednesday, March 28, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Steve are his wife, Jinda; two sons, Dave, Austin, Texas, and Michael (Karla), Lisbon; two grandchildren, Hannah and Natan, Mount Vernon; and three brothers, Duane, Superior, Wis., and Dan and Tim, both of Hermantown, Minn.
Preceding Steve in death were his parents.
Steve was born Aug. 4, 1949, in Duluth, Minn., the first child of William and Margaret (Hollander) Ohman. He graduated from Hermantown High School in 1967. Steve married Jinda Colehour in 1970 in Wichita Falls, Texas, after his enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. Steve and Jinda moved back to Mount Vernon in 1979. He retired from Hewlett-Packard, Cedar Rapids.
