Dennis Franke, 75, of Mount Vernon, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation will be for one hour before the service. Burial: Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include his sister, Evett (Robert) Unzicker-Schierholz; and niece, Crystal Lee Strickland.
Denny was born Jan. 19, 1941, the son of Lester Elroy and Evaue (Conklin) Franke. He enjoyed farm tractors, model trains and raising jackrabbits with his sister when they were kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
