Mary Ann Barbara Kreutner, 92, joined her heavenly Father on Nov. 9, 2016, at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Atkins, with Pastor Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery near Atkins. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church fellowship hall. To honor Mary Ann's wishes, the casket will be closed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Mary Ann Wilhelmi was born Oct. 13, 1924, on the farm in Atkins to Karl and Laura (Rammelsberg) Wilhelmi. She was confirmed in 1938 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
On March 16, 1944, she was united in marriage to Marvin Kreutner at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Atkins. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Atkins area. In 1963, they purchased Maples Resort in Delhi. Mary Ann enjoyed their years in that business and made many more lifelong friends.
During her life, she also had enjoyed membership at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Delaware and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester, where she was a member of Ladies Aid and Evangelism Team.
Mary Ann mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards and her Bridge Players Club.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Leo (Valerie) Kreutner, John (Stephanie) Kreutner, Rick (Delaine) Kreutner and Randy (Jeanette) Kreutner; nine grandchirlen; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin; and her parents.
