Kuhse, Dennis D.
Dennis D. Kuhse, 72, of Lansing, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon following a brief illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thornburg-DeVries Funeral Home, Lansing, where there will be a 6 p.m. service. The Rev. John Moser will officiate at the service.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Tow Kuhse of Lansing; a daughter, Kelly Kuhse of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren, Ashley Rammelsberg of Albuquerque, and Kyle Rammelsberg of Bowie, Md.; one brother, Ron (Jan) Kuhse of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two sisters, Pat Vasey of Davenport, and Shelley (Jerry) Baker of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Archie and Eileen Koehn Kuhse of Cedar Rapids.
He was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Communion, Iowa. He was a 1958 graduate of Elkader High School. He moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at Penick Ford and later at ADM, until his retirement in 2001. He and his wife moved to Lansing shortly after his retirement.
He enjoyed trout fishing, sports, the Chicago Cubs and most of all the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a friend to everyone.
