Kuhse, JoAnn
JoAnn Kuhse, 73, of Lansing, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
JoAnn, the daughter of Louis G. and Blanche (Petersen) Tow, was born March 24, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In May 1957, she graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Fairfax. After graduation JoAnn worked for Penick and Ford in Cedar Rapids as a secretary. JoAnn was united in marriage with Dennis Kuhse on May 27, 1962, in Cedar Rapids. Dennis and JoAnn lived in Cedar Rapids and then moved to Atkins. Ten years ago after Dennis' retirement they moved to Lansing.
JoAnn enjoyed trout fishing with her husband, crocheting, and reading.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Larry) Ritter of Albuquerque, N.m.; two grandchildren, Ashley Rammelsberg of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kyle (Laura) Rammelsberg of Bowie, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Conor and Clara Rammelsberg; one brother, Tom (Teresa) Tow of Normal, Ill.; four sisters, Betty Steinberg of Vinton, Peggy Lint of Lansing, Cynthia (Larry) Sheldon of Cedar Rapids and Cathy (Ken) Hall of Hiawatha; and one brother-in-law, Ronald Meyers of Biloxi, Miss.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, who died Sept. 26, 2011; her parents; and one sister, Beverly Meyers.
There are no services planned at this time.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing is helping the family with arrangements.
