Nathan Lee Kurth, 31, of Belle Plaine, passed away suddenly Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Victor, with Father Brian Shepley officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Nate was born Aug. 29, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Terry Wilson and Roxanne Smith. Nathan graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Following his schooling, he began to work at Rural Employment Alternatives in Conroy and most recently at Big G Foods in Marengo.
He enjoyed fishing, socializing and helping others.
Nate is survived by his father, Terry Wilson of Cedar Rapids; mother, Roxanne Smith of Belle Plaine; sister, Melissa Kurth of Cedar Rapids; grandmother, Linda Kurth of North English; uncle, Greg (Yvonne) Kurth of Belle Plaine; aunt, Jeanette Simmons of North English; nephew, Dayton; niece, Hannah; cousins, Kye, Laura and Lauren; and many more loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Kurth; and grandfather, Leslie Kurth.
