M. JoAnn Brown, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Cedar Rapids. There will be no services, per JoAnn's request.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Spraque, Rondae (John) Cones, Tersia Jones, Bill (Connie) Soper and Rick Brown; sister, Sherri Hershberger; 38 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
JoAnn was born April 24, 1931, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William LeRoy Richardson and Meryl Josephine Richardson. She worked at Collins Radio, Nissan Corp. and St. Luke's Living Center East.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, planting flowers, playing bingo and going to Tama on her birthday. She was extremely proud of the degree she received from Hamilton Business College as a legal secretary.

The family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their profound dedication to her care. A special thanks goes to Letitia and Brianna for the love, devotion and care given to their gramma in her time of need.
