Vicki Sue Stalkfleet, 64, lifelong resident of Iowa City, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 19, 2016. Private family services will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, c/o Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, IA 52240.
Vicki was born Jan. 8, 1952, in Iowa City, the daughter of Wayne and Mildred (Garnett) Stalkfleet. She was a graduate of Iowa City West High School and worked various factory jobs throughout her life, most recently at Rexam Release until retiring in 1996.
In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, leather working and spending time on her computer. She also enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and was passionate about her love of all animals.
She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her former spouse and primary caretaker, Ralph Miller of Iowa City; her three brothers, Paul (Nancy), Mike (Sheryl) and Donnie (Michelle), all of Iowa City; an aunt, Linda Wilson of Prescott, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Lynda Stalkfleet of Iowa City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Richard and David.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Champion, the staff at Windmill Manor and to Hospice Compassus for their loving care shown to Vicki.
