Deloris Rickels, 81, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, where friends may call after 9 a.m. The Rev. Reed Stockman will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; her son, Mike (Suzi) of Fort Dodge; her granddaughter, Katie; and two sisters, Lorene Shelton, Anamosa, and Glenda (Harlan) Hall, Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lois Pearson.
Deloris Mary Catlett was born July 31, 1933, near Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Viola Martin Catlett. Deloris received her early education in Richland Township School No. 7 and the Morley Schools. She graduated from Monti-cello Com-munity Schools in 1951. She worked as a legal secretary for Chester Condit and later for Wilson and Erdahl. Deloris married Robert Rickels on Jan. 3, 1953, at First Presbyterian Church, Monticello. The couple lived in Monticello for five years and then for a year in Des Moines before making their home in the Cedar Rapids area. In 1993, they moved to Anamosa. Deloris was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
