Bernice Elizabeth Papesh
Bernice E. Papesh, 98, of the Elberon and Belle Plaine areas, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Hrabak Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
She is survived by a daughter, Ellen (Carl) Robison of Belle Plaine; a son, Mike (Shirlee) Papesh of Conway, Ark.; three sisters, Dorothy Walton of Belle Plaine and Virginia McVay and Elnora Schwab, both of Cedar Rapids; grandson, Ron; and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosa Staelens Wilson; her husband, James; sisters, Edna Kouba, Arilla Prichard, Josephine Arens and Irlene Vileta; and brothers, George and Charles.
A memorial fund has been established.
