Kocher, Kenneth
Kenneth Kocher, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by THE Rev. Phil Jorgensen. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Lorayne Kocher of Lombard, Ill.; brothers, Edward (Kamie) Kocher Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., and David Kocher of Lombard, Ill.; a niece, Robyn (Joel) Corelitz, and their children, Levi and Asher; and a nephew, Ted Kocher of San Francisco, Calif.
Kenneth was born Jan. 11, 1954, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Edward and Lorayne (Pierson) Kocher. He graduated from West Chicago Community High School in 1971, and then went on to graduate from the University of Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Kenneth worked as a stock broker for Berthel Fisher for 25 years.
Kenneth was very much loved by his family. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bird watching. Kenneth was a loyal fan of the Hawkeyes, White Sox, and the Bears.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Kocher Sr.
