Hearn, Kenneth Lee
Kenneth Lee Hearn, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. No public services will be held. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; two sons, Kenneth (Birgit) Hearn and Dennis Hearn; grandchildren, Kenneth, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Emma and Matthew; mother-in-law, Elnora Ritze; and siblings, Mary Bennett, Donna Smith and Burnita (Mel) Dennis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bernard Hearn.
Kenneth was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Frank L. and Mary E. (Neidy) Hearn. He graduated Independence High School and attended Kirkwood Community College (Area 10). He married Susan Ritze May 25, 1968. He was a welder and truck driver for many years and worked at Terex in quality control, before retiring in 2011. Kenneth's greatest joy was spoiling his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and liked Australia.
