, Jordan Creek Town Center in Des Moines will be filled with hundreds of cyclists.  No, they aren't racing around the mall, they are pedaling to raise awareness across the state of Iowa in the fight against cancer.

Annual LIVESTRONG Unite Against Cancer Day will take place for all people to come and learn about the steps being taken to fight the #1 leading cause of death in the state of Iowa.  Throughout the day you can join in on free demonstrations, prize giveaways,, talk with cancer professionals and learn more about the fight against cancer in Iowa.

The exhibits will officially open at 10 AM and will be open until 3 PM. Last year's celebrity guest was U.S. Olympian and West Des Moines native Shawn Johnson.  This year Indianola, IA native Casey Blake, 3

Baseman of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will be there signing autographs from 12-2 PM.

The day will also include a “Ride For Endurance” in which hundreds of cyclists will ride continuously inside the mall on stationary bikes from 1 to 3 PM.  A live radio broadcast will be done from Star 102.5 in Des Moines as well as an “Executive Challenge” where various company CEO's from the area will ride as well.

Also, LIVESTRONG Grassroots fundraisers will be on hand to tell you about how you can get involved with fundraising for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.  LIVESTRONG, is the foundation started by cyclist Lance Armstrong after his bout against testicular cancer in the late 1990's.

Drawings will be done throughout the day for great prizes including a road bike, LIVESTRONG shirts, wristbands and much, much more!
