Rozella Hahn, 83, of Middle Amana, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Middle Amana Community Church with Elder Tony Berger officiating. Burial will be in the Middle Amana Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the donor's choice. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Rozella Hahn is survived by five sons, Fred (Marcia), Jay (Susie), Brad (Lynn), Bill (Sue) and George (Michele); 13 grand-children; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1973; her parents; a great-grandson, Timothy; a brother, Ken Smith; and a sister, Mary Lou Nightingale.
Rozella Smith was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Blair, Okla., the daughter of Robert and Della Hagan Smith. She graduated from Amana High School in 1952. Rozella was united in marriage to the love of her life, Fred William Hahn on Aug. 18, 1951. She will be remembered most for being a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma. Her family was her world.
