Delores I. "Dee" Hahn, 90, of Iowa City, died Jan. 31, 2018, at Windmill Manor in Coralville following a brief illness.
Delores Ilene Krska was born April 20, 1927, in Pocahontas, Iowa. Delores was educated at a country school near Pocahontas. On Dec. 26, 1943, she married Roland Hahn. They moved to Iowa City around 1957. She loved shopping, going to yard sales and antiquing with her sister, Esther Hansen. Delores also loved her flowers; inside or outside, she showed off her green thumb.
Her family includes her sons, Rick Hahn of Iowa City and Doug Hahn of New Mexico; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Delores was preceded in death by her mother; father; infant brother, George; brother, Emanuel G. Kraska; sisters, Pauline Snavely, Lillian Meyer and Esther Hansen; infant grandson, Neal; great-granddaughter, Morgan Castleberry; son, Barry Hahn; and daughter-in-law, Ella Hahn.
A gathering time for family and friends will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Compassus. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.gayandciha.com.
