Marlin Lee Bickford, 62, died peacefully Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Joan and Ed Hemphill Hospice House, UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa, where friends may call after 10 a.m. The Rev. Katie Lowe-Lancaster will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Surviving is his mother, Luella; two brothers, Michael (Nancy) and Mark (Rhonda), all of Anamosa; two nieces, Holly (Brian) Loney, Cedar Rapids, and Amber (Dennis) Holland, Anamosa; and a nephew, Dylan Bickford, Cedar Falls; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles in 2005; and an infant brother, Melvin.
Marlin Lee Bickford was born Dec. 16, 1952, at Anamosa, Iowa. He was the son of Charles and Luella Osterkamp Bickford. Marlin graduated from the Anamosa High School with the class of 1971. He continued his education at the Iowa Automotive and Diesel School in Cedar Rapids. Marlin had worked as a welder at Cuckler Buildings and Universal Engineering. He was also employed at Asgrow Seed and Bimm Ridder Sports Clothing, until he became disabled. Marlin enjoyed fishing, collecting toy tractors and vintage bicycles.
