Hulen Sr., Larry W.
Larry W. Hulen Sr., 69, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date. Visitation is Friday, June 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Larry was born March 5, 1944, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Wayne and Linda (Gillespie) Hulen. He proudly retired from his maintenance position with the Cedar Rapids Public Library in 2008.
Larry is survived by his four children, Larry W. Hulen Jr., Sherry Hulen, Lori (Pete) Haggin and Crystal Hulen; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; ex-wife and friend, Shirley Hulen; three sisters, Betty Callas, Bonnie Lowe and Martha Setser; two brothers, Kenny Scott and Thomas (Ronnie) Gilmore; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. Each of us holds many special memories of him and he will be truly missed.
