Tina Jo Smith, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2019.
Tina was one of the most caring people you could know. She was the definition of a phone call away. She was the best Yaya to her granddaughters. In her spare time, she enjoyed relaxing at home with boyfriend, Scott, and her two puppies, Ella and Emmett. Mom, you will be missed more than words can express.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Scott Derlein; daughter, Lindsay Thompson; brother, Sean Smith; nieces, Kylie Pierce, Kelsey Leonard and Kassie Smith; nephews, Kory Smith and Kody Clements; and granddaughters, Emersyn and Aubrey Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rebecca Smith; and sister, Mindi Smith Clements.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 26, at an open house at Lowe Park Art and Environment Center in Marion, Iowa. The open house will begin at 5 p.m. and close at 9 p.m.
