Lois J. Bird, 63, passed away March 14, 2017, at The Bird House, Hospice Home of Johnson County.
Visitation will be Monday, March 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Parkview Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Parkview Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A time of fellowship for family and friends will follow the committal service at the church.
Following the death of her husband, Gary, her mission was to establish a resource to our community for people needing end-of-life care. Memorials may be made to "The Bird House," PO Box 3338, Iowa City, IA 52244 or to www.hospicehomejc.org. Donations will go toward paying off the mortgage which was a goal that Lois had. Please consider ways that you might want to help or volunteer at The Bird House.
