Carolyn Mae Lowe
(1935-2010)
Carolyn Mae Lowe, 75, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Richardson Funeral Home, with inurnment later at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. There will be no visitation.
She was born April 5, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Newell and Agnes (Schwartz) Lowe. She graduated from Franklin High School, Cedar Rapids, in 1953. She was employed for 36 years with Young Market Co. in Los Angeles, Calif., retiring as a credit manager in 1994.
Survivors include a sister, Marilyn (Holger) Petersen of Cedar Falls; two nephews, Steve (Susan) Petersen and Bill (Dee) Petersen; two nieces, Christine (Bradd) Draheim and Sue (Alan) Ruschill; six great-nieces and great-nephews; five stepgreat-nieces and stepgreat-nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a stepgreat-nephew, Nathan Redden.
