She will be missed beyond words by her family, including her husband of 65 years, Donald Lowe of Cedar Rapids; three children, Donna (John) Castle of Solon, Daniel (Darla) Lowe of Marion and Diana (Mike) Peiffer of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Brian (Samantha), Nick, Megan, Ben, Jason, Josh and Adam; great-grandchild, Jonathan Lowe; sister, Betty (Don) Graham of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, her twin brother Paul, Norman, Willard, Willis, Ivan and an infant brother.
Pauline Mary Lowe was born Sept. 28, 1924, to Andrew and Helga (Magneson) Bennett in Gratiot, Wis. She graduated from New Diggins High School in Wisconsin. After moving to Cedar Rapids, she worked as a secretary at Collins Radio. It was there she met Don. They married on Aug. 8, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. Pauline committed her life to raising her children and running the household with love, grace and strength.
Her devotion to her family expanded as her family grew to grand and great-grandchildren. Pauline was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching TV and cheering on the Hawkeyes and Cubs. She loved the simple pleasures of baking and spending time with her family. Pauline's greatest accomplishment was her family. Pauline was an angel with a huge heart who always put her family first. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
