Bill was born March 11, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the only child of Walter and Florence (Smith) Musker. He attended Arthur School and graduated from Franklin High School with the Class of 1951. He attended Coe College and the University of Iowa, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Bill served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, from 1953 to 1955.
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marilynn Jungjohann, a St. Luke's School of Nursing graduate, at First Presbyterian Church in Miles, Iowa, on Aug. 24, 1957. They proudly raised three children.
Bill was employed by National Oats for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He had been a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Rapids since 1947, where he was proud to have served as a deacon, elder and trustee. Bill enjoyed caring for and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to travel. He was affectionately known as "Papa" to his grandkids and loved supporting them in all of their school and sporting events. Bill's final wish was that his family would take care of each other.
His kind spirit, great stories and big smile will be missed by many.
