Patricia A. Seifert, 84, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at her home surrounded by her children. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, officiated by the Rev. Mike Erickson of Bethany Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral
Home. Interment will take
place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Patricia was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, to Elmer and Barbara (Chadima) Roup. She was united in marriage to Raymond E. Seifert on Sept. 9, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. To this union, three children were born.
Patricia worked as a bookkeeper at James W. Bell Co. for most of her career. She and Raymond were former members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. She had been a resident of Tucson since 2008.
She was involved in Pinochle card clubs in both Cedar Rapids and Tucson. She participated in a bowling league. She really enjoyed antiquing and going to yard sales. She absolutely adored her dog, Zoey; Patricia and Zoey were inseparable.
Patricia is survived by her children, Gregory (Sharon) Seifert of San Clemente, Calif., and Gina (Tom) Butcher and Gary Seifert, both of Tucson; seven grandsons, Aaron (Heather) Auman, John (Andrea) Cappiello, Sean (Jennifer) Butcher, Matthew, Brian, Jake and Bradley Seifert; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Hailie and Aidan Auman, Sofia Cappiello, Ryder Seifert and Dylan Seifert; and brother, William (Nancy) Williamson of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond, in 2007.
Memorial donations in Patricia's name may be directed to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
